Anne has over several years worked with Independent, Corporate, Family and Community Foundations, State-related funding entities and Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs) focusing on the Human Rights, Environmental and Social Development sectors in South and southern Africa. The thrust of her work is to leverage resources and partnerships to explore impactful approaches and outcomes to complex problems.
Her role as an independent consultant includes:
- lResearch for donors: External environment including situational and policy analysis
- lEvaluation of donor strategies
- lMonitoring and evaluation of funded programmes and projects
- lDeveloping grant-making strategies, policies and systems
- lManaging grant-making programmes and partnerships with/for donors including pre-funding organisational capacity assessments, programme/project assessments and due diligence
- lOrganisational governance advice for donors and NPOs
- lOrganisational development for donors and NPOs
- lMonitoring and evaluation, strategic planning, resource mobilisation and capacity building support for NPOs
Prior to her role as an independent consultant, Anne enjoyed executive leadership roles in independent, Non-Profit as well as, statutory development funding agencies.
Anne has a MPhil Degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, cum laude, (Stellenbosch University), a History Honours Degree (UCT) and a BA Degree (UCT).
She is a Chartered Director (SA) and has a sound governance track-record garnered from serving on a variety of Boards. Anne is a member of the Institute of Directors in South Africa.
She joined the Trust in December 2023.
